Grrr, Rahr, Eek!

I took the GRE this morning. Despite my kinked neck, massive headache, sleep depravity, dehydration, and upset stomach, I passed, BARELY. Literally, I somehow managed to get the minimum score that I needed and not much higher. All I can say is that I prayed really hard that: 1) I wouldn't fall asleep; 2) I could resist the urge to put my head on my desk and cry; 3) I could pass the test and 4) I could maintain control and not embarrass myself. My prayer was heard and I am happy.

And what the heck does "pulchritude" mean?! No one really uses that word.

It was all down hill from there...

And now we have something in common. We both survived the GRE. Congratulations!

Congrats!! Especially if you made it through being as sick as my kids are. . .Between the 3 of them, they have thrown up more than 25 times in the last 48 hours. . .I lost count! Yuck!

pulchritude means beauty. I know it because

a. I also took the GRE, and it was all over the place on prep stuff and
b. it's a delightful example when a word sounds nothing like what it means. I mean, it's hideous, right?
