Lucky

I was just thinking, I'm pretty lucky to have such great friends, even if they are all married (except you of course, Ash).

Love you!

Never karaoke to ABBA's 'Take a Chance on Me'
--no matter how cute the boy is.

Question

Why do I bother to study if I'm just going to fail the test anyway?

It's a question I've never been able to answer.

My Yesterday...

Consisted of:
Reading text books,
Mall shopping,
Playing 6 wicked rounds of Croquet,
Attending a bridal shower,
Scoring a date for next weekend,
Some very awesome kite flying,,
Making dinner,
Buying groceries (must have tortilla chips),
and
Finishing my Stats homework while
Watching four installments of the BBC P&P.

It was a good day.

Beautiful

I have spent the day reading
text books while basking in the
68-degree-blue-skied sun.
It was wonderful.

Going Green, by Tones

I remembered something funny the other day while talking of gardening. On my mission, we had a sister in the ward named Chen Cai Yuan. I'm not exactly sure what tones I was supposed to use for her name, but I instantly knew I had spoken incorrectly when this sister started laughing hysterically. Apparently, I had given 'Cai' a 4th tone and 'Yuan' a 2nd tone. Instead of calling her by name, I called her a 'Vegetable Garden'.

No wonder the Taiwanese like Americans so much: we are a constant source of entertainment.

The Cleverness of Me

My sister and I went in together for a wedding shower gift. It was sort of a stay-at-home-date-night kit, including all the fixings for a delicious Italian dinner, a game, and a movie. My job was to write the card. This is what I came up with (remember, I have background in both poetry and Italian):

We are glad that you've found the fella
Who thinks that you are molto bella.
For those nights you haven't plans,
Use this kit to please your man.
When all is done, lean in a say,
"This is what they call amore."

Not too shabby, if I say so myself. Maybe one day I'll get paid to be clever...

On the Edge

Today, I successfully made a meal in the crock pot all by myself.

My mother should be very proud.

Maybe tomorrow I'll try basting!!!

Got a Kit Kat?

When all you can think about is how

(μ1-μ2) = (M1-M2) +/- t (S(M1-M2)),

you know you have been studying Statistics too long.

I need a break.

Abnormal Psychology, anyone?

Speechless

I have thought and thought and thought, and find I have nothing to say.

Hopefully something awesome will be coming soon.
